Story of a Girl

(Pink collar shirt, Thrifted jean shorts, F21 heels)
Outfit from a couple days ago. Simple and clean. I'm really into neutral colors lately; pinks, nudes, greys and blacks. I need to stop buying clothes of the same color scheme! My closet looks like a sea of neutrals.

Happy Independence Day!

It has been a seriously long time since I've updated my blog. I haven't had any sort of motivation but I've missed blogging. Hopefully I'll be updating more frequently this month. I've started working on weekdays; it drags my energy levels to zero by the time I get home. If it wasn't for weekends, I don't know how I'd cope. Anyways, July is my favorite month of the year! I'm excited for many reasons: Fourth of July fireworks, my eighteenth birthday and the amazing weather...and did I mention I turn 18? YES. It's hard for me to believe that I've been alive for almost 18 years. It seems like just yesterday I was graduating from 5th grade. Besides reminiscing on my childhood/teen years, I've been reading many novels recently. I've discovered some good young adult romance novels such as Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick and Matched by Ally Condie. Regardless of the bad reviews I thought they were pretty good and worth reading. I just realized today is Fourth of July! I wish a Happy Independence Day to all you Americans out there! The following pictures were actually inspired by the Fourth of July.

"The Bridge"

(American Apparel baseball tee, DIY studded shorts, Vans)
Pretty interesting place right? I have no idea what this place was in previous years, but now it's just a cool looking place where girls like me get to have cool photoshoots.

Anaheim: Cheerleading Nationals

Anaheim, California
I know this post is like a month late but I had to blog about it. My cheerleading team went to Nationals in Anaheim last month and it was by far one of the greatest experiences I've had. I don't even know where to begin to describe how amazing it was. We left on a Thursday morning and carpooled all the way to  LA. I thought carpooling would be such a drag but it was actually a fun experience. It was like a never-ending road trip. Once we got there we checked into our hotel, practiced our routine for awhile, hit the pool and then we got ready for dinner at Old Spaghetti Factory. Service there wasn't so great but we still managed to have a great time. The next day was competition day. The day we had waited for our entire cheerleading career. Getting ready for comp is such an exciting feeling; it's like you're putting on war paint for battle. The hair curling, the fake eyelashes, the glitter...all for a minute of glory. Anyways, after comp we went back to the hotel, then went back to the convention for our award ceremony. The next day was the best day of the trip, well in my opinion. We went to Newport Beach and Balboa Island. We hung out at the beach then went to get some of the best chocolate covered bananas I have ever tried. Oh, we also had lunch at this one Italian restaurant on Balboa Island, whose name I can't recall from the top of my head. Anyways I think this was the best day out of all! After we went back to the hotel and decided to go to Downtown Disney. It started to rain when we got there...but it was still fun! Then, we decided to have dinner at Rainforest Cafe, which was extremely over priced just because it was in the middle of Downtown Disney. The food was okay, it was the socializing with my cheer girls that made dinner great. The next day we headed back to SF, on carpool again. I had to endure christmas carols for the whole trip back(thanks to Alexis & Mackenzie!)...Anyways, that sums up my spring break trip to Nationals in Anaheim! It made me love cheerleading even more and appreciate my teammates more than ever. I love them so much!

post-valentines day

(Thrifted Cardigan, Crossroads Blue Dress, Stockings, JC Litas)
Flowers are God's way of decorating planet Earth. I truly love flowers, and I do have my favorites. Maybe I'll make a separate post about flowers later. Anyways, flowers were given to me on Valentines day by my BF. I loved the colors; so girly and pretty. So it's been really chilly in San Fran lately, and therefore basically impossible to wear leg exposing garments. I use stockings like everyday, seriously; whether I want to wear a dress or a skirt, I always have stockings in mind. They're one of human's best inventions! I shouldn't be surprised that it's always cold in San Fran, but I honestly wish we had a nice warm day once in a while. Maybe in the summer? I doubt it. It's San Fran we're talking about, we basically have no seasons.

the backyardigan

(H&M Choker Necklace, Cream Bebe Top, F21 Faux Leather Leggings, JC Litas)
Random outfit post on a Sunday night. I have wanted a choker for the longest time so I thought I'd buy one. F21 didn't have a huge selection so I went to H&M instead. I ended up buying a gold one. It's slightly Egyptian looking. That reminds me, some people think I look Egyptian whenever I wear really thick eyeliner. Anyways, I really love the choker, it's such a statement necklace.
